While we certainly can't compete with the 'Person of the Year' profiled in TIME Magazine last month, we were pretty excited to see our Chief Designer at Fuego, Robert Brunner, highlighted in Samsung's special advertising feature.

The New York Times featured a great article this past Saturday (1/3/09) questioning the future of design given our current economic state. When times were good and wealth was plenty, artists could demand higher costs for their luxury items. However, according to The NYT, design tends to thrive during economic hardships. Designers are forced to use less flashy materials and focus more on sustainable goods that are readily available. The future may hold less design, but overall we will be seeing better design.
