TRAVERSE EPICUREAN CLASSIC
September 11th through September 13th Fuego participated in and sponsored the Epicurean Classic in Traverse City, Michigan. In conjunction with the Great Lakes Culinary Institute, the Classic was a great opportunity to enjoy a cultivated and innovative approach to fresh ideas in food, wine, and culinary experiences. There were over 40 nationally renowned chefs and culinary artisans that demonstrated their recipes and held tastings.
The Fuego 01 grill was used for various demonstrations by acclaimed chefs such as, Ted Reader, John Korycki, and Diane Morgan. They each had specific grilling recipes that they shared with crowds of participants.
There were over 600 attendees to the classic, which was beautifully situated with Lake Michigan as the perfect back drop. We enjoyed wine, cheese, ale, and culinary creations from planked mashed potatoes with bacon wrapped lake perch, to duck and gouda pizzas in a curry pesto sauce, and baja catfish tacos with mango lime salsa. We experienced wonderful food, tasted and supported locally grown organic products, and made some great friends in the culinary arts.
