The much anticipated Fuego 02 Electric has finally arrived!
Since we introduced the Fuego 01 and 02 gas grills to the U.S. Market, an electric version has been on the top of our most requested list. We learned that for many city dwellers- urbanites living in condos, lofts and high-rise buildings- use of gas is prohibited. The only option to grill on a 45th floor penthouse balcony or a top floor rooftop garden is with an electric powered grill. We also quickly realized that the current electric grill offering is extremely limited and lacks any design and styling to match some of the most sophisticated zip codes around the country- San Francisco, Miami, NYC, LA, Vegas, Chicago, to name a few.
In addition, most portable grills we found lack the high temperature grilling and searing capabilities due to the low cost components usually fitted in these lower price point products.
Over the past eight months, we have taken great patience and care to design and engineer what we believe is the best looking and most functional electric grill you can find on the market today. Our approach was quite simple - no unnecessary bells and whistles, no electronic gimmicks and fancy LED displays. Just back to basics, simple high-low temperature dial, use the best material and components to boost highest performance, and finally- house it in one of the most irresistible grill design body.
Through months of testing and re-testing, we selected the best components to deliver the maximum electric grilling performance from your standard 110 wall outlet. Our 02 electric utilizes a custom made heat element mounted in direct contact with the grill grates to extract the maximum heat transfer possible onto the cooking surface. A reflector plate is also installed to capture secondary radiant heat source. We specified a 5mm grill grate made out of cast iron, the best material we believe for heat transfer and heat retention to keep consistency in high heat searing. We are able to cook multiple batches of cold steaks and still maintain searing temperature on the grill surface with no significant temperature drop, our maximum grate surface temperature is slightly over 700 degrees when thoroughly heated.
Similar to our signature Fuego models, the 02 Electric comes with surrounding teak counters to gather elbows around, a Brazilian slate cutting top, plenty of under-counter and drawer storage space, wheeled mobility, a retractable lid that tucks completely out of sight, and pegged accessories on both sides of the grill.
Bottom line, we just launched a gorgeous grill with no non-sense electric powered performance. You might already have a million dollar view, but it would not be complete without one of our million dollar grill ($1950 MSRP actually...)
