HAPPY ANNIVSARY TO THE BLOODY MARY
The long holiday weekend is over, but there's still a reason to celebrate. NYC is celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Bloody Mary today. According to Wikipedia, the drink made it's first debut in Manhattan in 1934 by Frenchie Ferdinand Petiot while working at the St. Regis Hotel. It was originally called the Red Snaper. Later tabasco sauce was added and the name Bloody Mary was final. In honor of this day, there will be a special toast in Times Square this morning. Several bars are giving out FREE drinks. We haven't posted any good drink recipes lately, so our hats are off today in honor of the Bloody Mary. Cheers! |
